Alcott
Alcott Restaurant — Brand Identity
Alcott needed an identity as considered as its menu. We built a mark rooted in letterform geometry — warm, unhurried, and legible from matchbook to signage.
The brief was deceptively simple: make it feel like it has been here forever. The restaurant was new, the ownership was thoughtful, and the food was genuinely good. What was missing was a visual language to carry all of that.
We started with the letterform A — not as a literal device, but as a proportional system. The mark derives from the same geometric relationships used in the menu grid, the business card layout, and the environmental wayfinding. One set of ratios, applied consistently.
Typography is Fraunces for display, Instrument Sans for everything operational. The palette is warm parchment and iron-gall ink, with a terracotta accent used sparingly.
